“We are doomed with out YOU, Walk the Truth.”

My dear friend and I took a lovely hike at Onteora Lake with the very happy dog a few weeks past. We left a painted rock as an offering to the land on an alter by a very special campsite. We spoke of all things on that hike, death, medicine, the elementals, spirits, love, children, health, partnership, community, sadness, magic, holding space and pain. When her partner returned days later to visit the alter, there was a note under the rock.

“We are doomed with out you, Walk the Truth.”

This week a childhood friend of mine’s wife passed on…… I was at her funeral today.

I felt this weeks experiences, many Winters, were in my bones, precious and tenuous it all is. The emergencies, the heightened energies, the polar forces, the vortexes that pull us through to the other side.

I walked up to the community center rather then drive up to the upper parking lot. I am a scaredy cat when it comes to lots of cars in a small parking lot. I do not enjoy getting stuck or incurring a small fender bender. Appropriately, the trail was called, The Middle Way.

I do not imply that you have to work to find the way anymore, after years of labor, you might just trust that you will stumble on the way. You will know it in your heart. Hold fast and walk the truth.

Blessings to you this year, not working so hard but rather settling in for the crazy ride.

Slither through the opening offered to you.
