The year of the Yang Fire Horse is coming, and we are wrapping up the Year of the Yin Wood Snake. I am grateful to be slithering out of 2025. There is something about the full tilt energy of a galloping horse that really appeals to me. It is going to be a furious year of change, and a lot of what the fuck is happening? I would rather that kind of shift than waiting and shedding, the previous snake and rabbit years. We’d better fasten our seatbelts.

In history, the years of the Horse, especially the Fire Horse, there have been wars, earthquakes, and all manner of big changes. There are also significant advancements in many areas in Horse years. You can tell that things are just falling apart right now. We are poised for significant climate change events and lots of social and political disorder.

I want to think this might be one of those “meet your maker” moments. If you look back at how you have lived your life to date, and what you invested your energy in previously to this moment. That status of qi and philosophy is what will inform the year ahead. This is not spiritual bypassing; if you are faking your truth, pretending, then this theory will not pan out. But if you have been real and you expect change, this year might be something of a pivot point.
