Sita Ram, Sita Ram, Sita Ram, Jaya Sita Ram
सीता राम सीता राम सीता राम जय सीता राम
Sita is the incarnation of Lakshmi, Goddess of abundance. She is the embodiment of love and virtue. Her husband Ram, is the incarnation of Vishnu, Lord of the universe. He was a living vessel of effused truth, compassion and bravery. Together they symbolize the union of the feminine and the masculine energies, the powerful partnership of intuition and action.
Mantras are prayers, patterns of letters, words, sounds and breath, that consecrate intention into form. By chanting the songs repetitively, we evoke the sacred energies. We can use this tool to unify the separate sides of the self and to heal the violent divisions in our culture.
The intertwined energies of Sita and Ram, balance the right and left sides of the human brain and regulate the parasympathetic and sympathetic aspects of our nervous system. The chanting activates our vagus nerve and elevates cerebral awareness.
Jaya means celebration or victory. Praise, the resurrection, of ancient masculine and feminine consciousness. Salute, the healing, the repairing of the fissures, instigated by the greed, pain, hate, violence and the need to control our fear of going extinct.
It all starts with the unification of self, the reunion of Sita and Ram within our own physical form. The opening of our heart space, the undulations of our emotional rhythms the awareness of the greater cosmos and the inseparable connection to other. This activation represents the reparation of trauma, it is the scar that unites the broken pieces and recreates the vessel.
This is a form of protest. Reclaiming the right to make our own choices and take care of our selves, our families, and our communities. Grassroots revolutionary acts, freedom to choose your own form worship, make your own healthcare choices, your own forms of pleasure, be who you want to be and love who you want to love.
