he said that the reason he was meditating was that it was the most radical act he could do to examine his own mind, practice non- violence to himself and by doing that he could change the world… or something like that.

I found our beloved cat, Penny, dead on the floor of the basement. It looked like she died of a heart attack. She was a magical cat of the highest order, she came us to at a time in our family, when she and her sister were desperately needed. She took her job of caring for my eldest child seriously, she would lay on her bed protecting her. She would lick her face and sit on her chest and purr. She could smell if one of the family was sick or upset and she would find us, nudge her way onto our chest and purr us back to health. I see her now as an angel that came to us for eight years and then left because her body wasn’t strong enough to keep her here. I cannot tell you how sad we all are, but especially my daughter, they…

“Out of nowhere the light will appear. It is all happening on Earth, follow the natural law. Where there is darkness, there is only the sun to shine through. What we go through is only for our own good. If to admit this, is as easy to stay with every battle fought and won, the stronger that we fight anew. According to Ibram X. Kendi, you are not officially an activist unless you were responsible for changing or creating new policies. As far as I know, I have not been a catalyst for any policy shifts. But I would call myself a pedestrian activist, I have been instrumental in shifting many a mindset and overall acceptance of the rainbow of expressions of the human form, including the myriad of ways in which we love each other. The Wood months, a season of renewal and growth. Time to do that “Spring cleaning”, this is not limited to a physical act, it is more akin to a mental and/or emotional experience. The root of illness is found in an imbalance within, a resistance to transmute or to simply allow change. What are the blocks stopping us from morphing with the trend of our lives? This is the essence of Wood season. The…

Charles Eisenstein spoke at Naropa University for the 2019 John and Bayard Cobb Peace Lecture Presentation.. This is a snippet of the talk. “Today the dominant narrative, whether we recognize it or not , is a war narrative, not only on the obvious level of U.S foreign policy, identifying enemies around the world and bombing them, but also in our basic understanding of how the world works and how to solve problems. War thinking permeates the public psyche. To build a peace narrative, we need to identify the existing war narrative.” He went on to discuss the tendency for nature to be inherently chaotic and have intelligent organization simultaneously. And (paraphrasing here) that we will need to have a lot of genuine compassion not idiot compassion, really walk in another person’s shoes, and sacrifice our righteous identity for us to see some healing and growth out of the polarization that…
