“Panpsychism is the idea that everything, every particle, the ink on the page, the atoms, all have some infinitesimal degree of psyche or consciousness, and somehow this consciousness is combined in some way from our cells and the rest of our bodies to create this kind of superconsciousness.” Michael Pollan I think about this kind of thing a lot, and if you feel this to be true, then you are just a sack of particles floating in a universe of similar particles. Quite a humbling thought, and it really takes our egos down a few notches. Also, it stands to reason that everything you embody will be magnified tenfold into the world, so choose wisely. Use your energy thoughtfully, it could be said. Acupuncture had this theory locked in about 5,000 years ago, also very humbling. The modality addresses one of the original structures of energetic medicine, along with many…
For every Evil under the sun, there is a remedy, or there is none. If there be one, seek till you find it; If there be none, never mind it. Mother Goose A moment in time, to show up or to disappear. I believe that if we all elevated our consciousness and stood firm in nurturing a healthier culture, change would follow. It will happen; it is just a matter of when. The Ruth Asawa exhibit was an example to me of how she had something to say and a pattern she had to express. She created, over and over again, a message without a direct voice. I think this kind of work can influence karma and change the landscape for the next generations. You can be part of this kind of movement; it is a matter of what you choose to focus on and where you put your Shen.…

“If people bring so much courage to the world the world has to kill them to break them, so of course it kills them. The world breaks everyone and afterwards many are strong at the broken places. But those that will not break it kills. It kills the very good and the very gentle and the very brave impartially. If you are none of these you can be sure it will kill you too but there will be no special hurry.” Ernest Hemingway A Farewell to Arms
Time of change and shedding skin. Clever and patient, the snake waits for the right time to take action, striking out exactly at the right moment. This is that year, waiting for impeding transformation, the only way is through the eye of needle. Good Luck People.
he said that the reason he was meditating was that it was the most radical act he could do to examine his own mind, practice non- violence to himself and by doing that he could change the world… or something like that.
I found our beloved cat, Penny, dead on the floor of the basement. It looked like she died of a heart attack. She was a magical cat of the highest order, she came us to at a time in our family, when she and her sister were desperately needed. She took her job of caring for my eldest child seriously, she would lay on her bed protecting her. She would lick her face and sit on her chest and purr. She could smell if one of the family was sick or upset and she would find us, nudge her way onto our chest and purr us back to health. I see her now as an angel that came to us for eight years and then left because her body wasn’t strong enough to keep her here. I cannot tell you how sad we all are, but especially my daughter, they…
“Out of nowhere the light will appear. It is all happening on Earth, follow the natural law. Where there is darkness, there is only the sun to shine through. What we go through is only for our own good. If to admit this, is as easy to stay with every battle fought and won, the stronger that we fight anew. Dark then light, dark then light.” Bernie Kagan 1973- Brindaban, India -Neem Karoli Baba You lightly tread over the threshold, passed under the archway (it was really pretty) and plunged directly into the darkness (Yikes). It is Water season. The spotlight is on fear and the acts of fearing. Security, survival and willing your life forward, these traits make up the bones of Winter. The primal fear is that you won’t make it through alive. It is a mini -confrontation with death. Will I survive? If I do, does it even…
According to Ibram X. Kendi, you are not officially an activist unless you were responsible for changing or creating new policies. As far as I know, I have not been a catalyst for any policy shifts. But I would call myself a pedestrian activist, I have been instrumental in shifting many a mindset and overall acceptance of the rainbow of expressions of the human form, including the myriad of ways in which we love each other. The Wood months, a season of renewal and growth. Time to do that “Spring cleaning”, this is not limited to a physical act, it is more akin to a mental and/or emotional experience. The root of illness is found in an imbalance within, a resistance to transmute or to simply allow change. What are the blocks stopping us from morphing with the trend of our lives? This is the essence of Wood season. The…
